This has me really confused as to what could be going wrong with my car's engine or my heater core. Now I just need to figure out where my thermostat IS and how to check it... The coolant/water/anti-freeze mixed into oil is caused by a bad gasket somewhere (head gasket or manifold gasket etc.) or from a cracked/broken engine block or intake manifold.
