The sensor is held by a 10MM bolt, so get a small ratchet and a 10mm socket. Yes you can remove the dash from the bike without removing the cowl. What exactly runs the speedo and the odometer is it a speed sensor and where is it at? But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.
